Car not running well / at all.

Alright, car had been running fine after replacing the main fuel pump. Regular tune up just after that. Then the car decided to die once, then twice. Thought the car wasn't getting spark, it is. Found out that the transfer pump wasn't working. Replaced that today, ran great in my garage. Back it out, feels a ll funny. Reving it some, seems to be back to normal. But knowing this great car of mine I decide to drive it around my area some, it dies. Try to get it to run, and just when it's about to (cranks/turns/ignites)...it dies. I push it back onto my street with help from a friend...go into my house, open the garage. Come out try to start it ONE last time, and it does. Not running great I slowly pull it into the garage where I leave it for awhile now...

I've got a feeling it is the ecu or something with the computer. What should I do to check these things out? I'll be reading up in my Bentley but, this happening after a few times of getting it back to fine running condition I'm begining to want to listen into any or all suggestions. you aren't the only one.. my car runs like shit when it's cold, I can't even move it until I let it warm up for at least 5 minutes, and even then it doesn't run right until it hits operating temps. still have to drive it 300+ miles a week too.

check section 3 in the bentley, there are all sorts of things you can troubleshoot. you prett much need a digital multimeter for much of it though. I hoped it was my cooltant temp sensor (easy to replace, cheap part) but I checked it when my engine was dead cold and the resistance is right on. :(

See that's the problem, it's not cold. When it was cold just needed a pump or two on the pedal. But I knew this would fix it dieing at random times, tested wires going to the pump, the pump itself. Found out why the fuel wasn't getting to the engine. So it's more then what I thought after replacing both pumps.

Yeah I guess I should just read the troubleshooting section front to back.

Help still greatly appreciated. Looking into it being an airduct. If anyone has any experince with any sort of problem like this it'd by nice to hear anything.

I don't mean cold outside, I mean when the engine is cold. it still happens when it's 40 degrees out, in the last 3 years that I've had my car I was able to start it up in 20 degrees or less without touching the throttle. now it doesn't matter what the outside temp is.

Change your fuel pump relay.

Already did. I've done pretty much all that I could think of. I did get it running yesterday but then it choked and died. I'm starting to wonder if that temperature sensor could be the cause.

Check your cold-start injector and sensor.

What is really strange is I was able to clean my cold start injector.. but I don't have nearly as much fuel pressure as I did. It was barely trickling, and now isn't getting to the cold start injector.

I believe I'm getting fuel all the way up to the fuel filter so I'll be messing with it more tommorrow. But I did replace it when I replaced the main fuel pump. It's starving for fuel to start, so I don't think it's the crank position sensor, or another sensor. Anyways thanks for any replies, this seems to be the reason why the PO sold it to me in the first place, the entire fuel system has a mind of it's own.

Can you guys tell me when your fuel pumps come on? When it's on or cranking or both?
