    M42 Dyno

I went to the Edge Motorworks Dyno Day with a few others yesterday. It was a ton of fun. I was expecting around 105-110 but I suprised even myself.

Here is the graph: Max HP: 120.24 Max Tq: 112.97

Thanks. The top will be down we the temp raises (I promise). It was around 45-50 out and I was freezing.

        Edit: 7200rpm's sound great.

Thanks. Car hasnt been repainted. It is a great color.

JimC chip makes it run a little lean, especially up high. I wont be doing anything to the fuel system with this engine in this car.

Maybe down the road the M42 will see a MAF.

Nice car!!! I love that color 8)

A small group of us in Vancouver are talking about having a E30 dyno day. It will include stock and modified E30 M3's, 318is/ic, and a 325i... I wonder if my car will have similar results as yours? Mods on my car include JC chip, drop in K&N filter, supersprint cat back, heavy 17" wheels, sachs sport clutch and a 4.10 lsd.

Damn the M42 is a HP beast. Your car is freakishly hot.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

We all froze our arses off yesterday! Thank goodness for coffee and doughnuts :) And that S14 powered 2002 was a beast (especially once the mufflers were uncorked)

Great pictures, your car looks great Aaron. 8) 120 x 1.21 is about 145 peak HP, about right for what you've got. :)

Edit: PS- What did the red 325i put down? S14 '02?

the 2002 did about 130+ with mufflers and 160+ without. I don't recall what Ken's 325is did, but he was having fuel issues, possibly with the injectors.
