    Holes in the firewall

Are these holes normal? I knew I was getting more engine noise than I should be. especialy above 2k. It sounds like noisy tapping injectors.

Yes. Those holes are supposed to have plastic grommets in them in an automatic car.

The top hole is for the clutch master cylinder soft line from the brake fluid reservoir, and the bottom hole is for the clutch master cylinder output.

That is NOT supposed to be there, but I cannot remember what is.

I am in Redmond tonight, you are welcome to call me and stop by (520 and Redmond Way) but I am off to Fatburger for some grub.

So now on to filling them. Eventually going to an s50 with a manual swap. Whats the best tranny for the job and what master cylinder should pair with that.

            Use the E30 master cylinder. I'd get a ZF310 or 320 from a 95M3, 96+ 328i, or 96+M3.
