Why does he feel the need to "attack" me on the internets? And his opinion doesn't matter worth a shit to me, I posted this because I've seen a couple of project threads on here try to find the OEM electrical tape to no avail. This thread was meant to help others.
My name is Andrew, I'm not even Japanese. When I was 13 my friends and I used to play Halo all the time and I'd always win so they said I was so good at video games I was japanese, which led to the nickname Japandrew. Nobody's called me that since the 7th grade though.okay, is it jap andrew or japan drew???Comment

so for those of you who want to know, there is a part number for oem electrical tape. The number is: 61 13 6 902 588
beware though, when i first saw this i thought "oh it's only $1.50 per roll, what a great deal". It's $1.50 per meter, and they only sell it in 25 meter rolls. So i ended up paying $25 for this one roll at a deal, but the roll is 25 meters so it will last a long while.
I really like the material, it's the cloth type bmw uses for everything and has a nice feel and wrap to it. Here are some pics for those who want to know:

I don't think you guys understand. This isn't just expensive electrical tape, it's BMW's electrical tape.
Hope I was able to clear up the confusion. Definitely worth 25 dollars if you know what you're looking at.Originally posted by z31maniacI just hate everyone.

Sure you found OEM tape on the internets for $8, but his baggie has an OEM part number on it! Huge difference.

In all seriousness, That Fabric electrical tape IS really nice to use. When I did the Motor rebuild in the Tii, and I was cleaning up the wiring, I Loved using that tape. It looks, and feels better as well as was easier to use, cut, peel ETC.
I think it is worth the 25 dollars IMO if your trying to really clean up your wiring, but now that There is other fabric tape available FUCK OEM.
andrew, As cool as your electrical tape is, and it's great your using the OEM tape, I think you should purchase a set of the other tape, compare, and see if it was worth it.
maybe if there was a roundel stamped in ever couple inches that would be kinda cool. Otherwise, unnessesary to the point where concourse judges wouldnt even notice.

The tape I posted is the OEM tape, just directly from the company BMW uses. I remember reading that no one even had a p/n for the tape, but since Andrew found it, I just googled the name. He may have over paid, but in the long run it was worth it, he just helped out a bunch of people, myself included. In all seriousness, That Fabric electrical tape IS really nice to use.
