Hey guys im new around here. Im from texas and i own an red 88 325is . As of right now all i have is exhaust. Im looking for some performance mods but also some thing i can do to make my car look better overall. I have the stock rims i beleive and im looking to get new ones, but there is a low budget. I saw a guy with my rims, but they were black.....I was wondering how i would go about painting them and such. Right now im missing the from bumper lip due to a large puddle on the road and everything besides seats and exhaust is stock . I plan on changing little thing like the window trim and i want to get the all black grill and maybe different side skirts. Im planning on putting cold air intake in next week with a k&n cone filter and custom heat shield. Any ideas for cheap-mid price mods that are efficiant? Ive seen ALOT of really nice e30s on the board and im hopin to get mine to look something like I especially like fuzz's e30. IM a big fan of dark rims and i would kill to have those babies (http://www.r3vlimited.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=16758) Thanks alot and I hope to hear from you guys.

Fuzz's car has MM11-2's, same wheels as are on my car (see sig) but his are painted black.
I think all wheels look like crap black though. Sometimes black with a polished lip is ok, but even then... just too much black.
CAI, even one with a proper heatshield isn't going to do anything for a otherwise stock m20 It will make more noise, and sound cool. Thats about it.Tenured Automotive Service Professional - Avid BMW Enthusiast

Thanks for the compliments.
Shadowlining the window trim is always a good choice, but like wheels... I think blacked out kidneys look like crap.
My kidneys are actually painted bodycolor because I hate chrome. Its a subtle difference, but it look great. I don't think body color (red) would work well for you tho.Tenured Automotive Service Professional - Avid BMW Enthusiast

Cheap mods would be to paint the kidneys black, paint the tails all red, get new roundels, and spend money to buy quality detailing items. Also, repaint your belt line trim with SEM Satin Black paint, and redo your lower trim with rubberized undercoat spray. The little things add up.
Once you get all the little things done, look into an iS lip if your car is missing it.
You can also tuck the bumpers from free. That's the best mod for your car.
As far as rims go, your car will benefit most of all from a set of shocks/springs to accentuate your 14" wheels. The most widely used shock/spring on r3v is probably the Bilstein Sport shock on H&R Sports, and gives you a nice midpoint of ride quality and looks.

thanks for the comments guys. Jordan, i agree red kidneys would not look good at all. And robert, im from north of dallas, by Plano. I dont know where Clear Lake is though...How much would the iS lip run for. Dad says 180 but i could have sworn i saw cheaper. Around 100 bucks. I hate how my bumpers are the chrome with black. Is there anyway i could repaint those without having to get a new body kit or whole new bumper? And as for painting the kidneys and shadowlining the window trim, what paint for the kidneys and how would i go abou the windows. Thanks for the help guys im not the most experienced with cars by any means but im looking to just make my car a little nicer.
