I pulled mine out, and it is reading 350ohms. Could this be the reason my car isn't starting? Why would a pulse sensor only last 106k miles :x ? It doesn't look to be damaged, and when I changed my timing belt I cleaned it off so it could get clear readings.
Pulse, reference, speed, whatever sensor

what year is your car.. 88 and later only have one sensor, and the reistance is supposed to be ~540 ohms, +/- 40. the early cars are different though.Comment

Usually what happenes is you'll acidentally yank the wire while doing the timing belt and that will kill the sensor.Adam Fogg- '88 M3

or you don't put it back properly, and it starts rubbing on something.. that insulation is only so thick.Originally posted by AdamF 88iSUsually what happenes is you'll acidentally yank the wire while doing the timing belt and that will kill the sensor.Comment
