I have an extra large case 4.10 laying around, but I'm thinking about making it into an LSD 4.10. Has anybody had experience doing this? Are there any kits or companies that do this?

I am sure Dan and diffonline.com could do it for you for like $1,500....
But seriously, it is possible. Trent and Charlie should be able to shed light on this.
hrm, i was just looking at a project to keep me occupied for a while since my car is kinda done right now, but I dont know. I think i sold it today anyways as is, but the information is always good.
you gotta buy the gears and all that crap, but if you dont really know what your doing i dotn advise it, or get somone who knows what there doing and get them to help you.
you can just buy 4.10 lsd for like $400 and save yourself the trouble, or you can find an lsd carrier and swap ofer the ring gear, but then you get into removing and installing the reluctor wheels, and making sure you dont fuck up the pinion spacing. your better off just buying one, honestly.
FYI, I've opened up a 3.73 open diff (big casing) and 4.10 open diff (small casing). The size of the crown is different. Almost 1 inch is size...
As for converting LSD, if you can get an LSD of a different ratio, you can swap the core over. 4.10, 3.73 and 3.15 share the same crown but with different pinion.
4.10 using pinion with 10 teeth and crown with 41 teeth
3.73 using pinion with 11 teeth and crown with 41 teeth
3.15 using pinion with 13 teeth and crown with 41 teeth
Ya it can be done, if you get the limited slip from a 3.25 or lower I believe you'll need a spacer for the ring gear. Where as the 3.25 and highers interchange. I sold one to a guy before and this is what he found out. I'm going to be doing the swap soon of swapping my 3.73 open to limited slip.
seriously. Buy a open diff on ebay or something, get it welded up and go drive. You will laugh your ass off. Just be careful not to go on throttle much into corners
