I have an 87 cabbie. The top is manual. Question is can i make it electric if i wanted to or did it only come in specific years. Thanks..

It would take much more modification than its worth.

^ thats what i've heard. $5k for new/refurb parts. and with the manual top the motor can't freeze and leave you with your top stuck open.

+1. My cabrios have auto tops that work but I wouldn't even mess with the swap. If your really into it, part car for sure.
