Cannot lock up brakes but no abs intervention either

did you go to mission raceway by chance? Stock pads aren't really up to any track session, much less mission. If you want to go back, next time buy a second sent of rotors and some race pads. You'll probably save money because you won't destroy your street brakes after a single 30 minute session.

I'm also wondering what's under the hood for you to hit 110+mph on that straight! :o

Glad it solved your problem. Glazing street pads in not uncommon. Which is why I suggest rotor slotting on daily driven cars. Slots help avoid glazing.

If pads are indeed glazed, simply rub them on asphalt in cercle motion.

I suppose you have installed new pads on new rotors, or at least ungouged discs and that the hydraulic system was bled...

Late getting back to this thread, but this was the issue. Pulled pads, rubbed them on the driveway a bit, and all good now.

I have the same problem, I just can't get them to lock up unless I'm going around 65mph and stomp on it and then it almost locks up. According to my accelerometer it takes me 330 ft to go from 65-0mph:(

Yes Jurid sounds right.
I'll pull a pad and look. Can I just use fine sand paper on the pads and rotors to deglaze, followed by rag with brake clean or something?

What are the tell tale visible signs of glazing?

Pull a pad and look of they afe polsihed to a mirror-like surface. By "factory pads", I guess you mean Jurid pads?

They are factory pads from the dealership. Have not pulled the wheels off to check for glazing as the car is stored still.

you should be able to lock up the tires at 25mph, easily.

just STOMP the brake pedal.

Try a road with some sand, or a wet road. You should be able to lock up pretty easily. What kind of brake pads?

Yeah, thats one thing I haven't done as i have never driven the car in the rain. factory pads
