They are good for what they are made for. For street use, they are overkill, and you will probably just get annoyed with them.

You also are supposed to use both in conjunction, not just one or the other.

      blah blah blah.

A lot of people have problems with stock motor mounts failing at the track, it's a achilles heel. And then your fan goes through your radiator hose and FUCK. Oh well, if you're on the street I'd say you should be cool, but I mean Jordan has gone through 3 sets of stock ones.

Mine were discovered to be missing a chunk in one of them so I ordered IE urethane ones. I haven't finished yet.....college and drinking is my anti-car sometimes.....

but tranny mounts are really want add NVH to your car, and engine mounts maybe a little bit, but not as severely. I'm replacing my tranny mounts with stock. If I really want better feel shifting for cost of vibration, noise, and harshness, I can change them out quickly enough with IE urethane units.

I've had both the motor and tranny mounts for quite a while now. OE motor mounts never held up very well for me. The IE urethane motor mounts are the ticket. I barely noticed additional sound inside the cabin.

The tranny mounts are a different monster. I like them and they work very well, but they do add a lot of noise inside the cabin. If you don't like feeling some vibration in the shifter and the additional noise, just stay with the engine mounts and use rubber tranny mounts.

I like the urethane mounts, but that is just me.
Don't forget the good things Hitler did.

ya i think i am going to get some motor mounts i just put a new radiator in and my fan has already hit the radiator. so for now i just took the fan off. so i should get the motor and tranny and do them at the same time?
          thanks alot

they are a well made product and will add a little noise but nothing to worry about. my son runs solid aluminum mounts i made and has had no issues. it sounds awesome inside the car even with quiet exhaust. some may tire of that over the long run but hes young and loves it. subframe seems to be holding up fine. he has a pretty much stock m20. id run solid in my car but i think id tear some stuff up

When my OEM mounts died, I put in E28 535i (or whichever is the common upgrade...can't remember exactly). However they still weren't stiff enough for when I did my E36 M3 rack conversion (clearance issue between exhaust manifold and steering knuckle on a RHD). I went to the IE mounts, and they have been brilliant. Solved the problem and can't notice any extra noise.

Blunt i dont know what the hell your talking about.. we had to run solid mounts for 3 miles to move the car to a new garage and it was unbearable. made me want to shit myself because of all the vibration.
