ok so im having problems starting my car 91 325ic, i swapped out injectors 19lb ones replaced the fuel pump thinking it was that but still nothing, if i shot starting fluid in intake manny i get it to fire up & im able to run it but once i shut her down i cant fire her up. i have checked the fuel at the rail im getting fuel, im not sure if a fuse is blown or if its a relay, i seem to be getting the pump to run in start mode, but when it drops into run mode it cuts off, help.. there was white smoke coming up from the bottom but turns out my cats (meow) fucked. speed bumps & lowered cars dont mix lol

Have you done the stomp test to see if you are pulling any codes? When was the last time you changed your fuel filter? Just becasue you are getting fuel to the rail does not mean it is at the right pressure or consistant pressure. Does the fuel pump run if you jumper the relay to override it? If not, then it is your main relay that is screwed up not the fuel pump relay. Replacing both is not expensive and a good thing to do just for preventative maintenance. The difference between porcupines and BMWs is that porcupines have the pricks on the outside!

Did it run fine before you changed the injectors? This could be a temp sensor gone bad and the ECU thinks that the motor is cold all the time so is flooding the cylinders with too much fuel. Do you have a bentley? You need to start eliminating things by making sure they test good! It also could be bad AFM, CPS and a few other things too. Gotta narrow it down! The difference between porcupines and BMWs is that porcupines have the pricks on the outside!

The fuel pump dropping out tends to point to:
No power to the DME (bad main relay, bad fusible link, or a wiring fault)
Bad CPS
Bad DME
Now lets hope that the overheat didn't kill the head or head gasket. The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

No spark could mean:
No power to the coil or a fault in the wiring between the DME & coil
No timing data to the DME
No power to the DME,
Bad DME
A bad coil is a possibility, but the other items have a higher probability. The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
