Does an air hammer work most of the time to remove bj's?

It can, but a BMW ball joint press does the job with much less drama.

I've always rigged up something and used my dad's enerpac 50 ton shop press. Sometimes tho it gets a little hairy. I saw online someone walking out a ball joint from an accord with a heavy duty air hammer. This works?
