    tick tick tick sound

I'm getting a tick tick sound in somewhere in my engine on idle and it goes faster when im accelerating, what could this be?

    An M20 engine running.

Seriously, is it more than usual? M20s come standard with a healthy tick.

no its not a engine tick its an extra sound that comes besides from the engine sound, something metallic, i'm guessing maybe its the oil pump and the engine isnt getting enough oil?

when's the last time you adjusted your valves? I just adjusted mine yesterday.. runs great, and yes M20s tick.

What's the mileage on that head? When is the last time you adjusted your valves? If your head was ever freshly rebuilt, are using HD valve springs and aftemarket retainers? Those will increase valvetrain noise too. Let us not forget aging injectors either.
