Drivers door locking problem

I have a problem with locking the drivers side door lock.
I am unable to lock it at all, not with a key and not from the trunk. When i try to use the key, the lock barely moves, if i try to push down the door lock it does not budge.

If i lock from the trunk or passanger side, the locks close and then open immediatly. after 7 tries or so the the doors stay locked, passanger side stays locked and the trunk. But the drivers side door is still open.

What could cause this problem? actuator or something mechanical in the mechanism?

spray some lube into the latch hole in the door then let it soak and work the mechanism till it frees up. or, you have a broken clip in the mechanism, most of the time latches just start to gum up and springs ware out

after spraying some lube the lock will now turn, however it will not do anything, the door will not lock or unlock... Any ideas

I'm having a similar problem, my lock will only lock when I lock it from the inside. So when you push the pin down it doesnt lock? You might need to rebuild the lock. Do all other locks work when you try the trunk? Or does it unlock itself when the driver door fails to lock?

the drivers side seems to be completely shot. The pin will not go down at all. when using the key, it will turn but not lock. The other door and the trunk lock with a key, but first they reject it 4-7 times then stay locked. But it only locks the trunk and passenger door
