Airbag?

This may seem like a silly question, but how can I tell if my car has an airbag and/or SRS? its an 325is with a production date of 11/87. I need to replace the steering rack hence the question.

The only models with airbags are from 90+. I don't think any car older than that had airbags, hmm.

I didn't think so but had to ask. Pelican Parts made me second guess with their steering rack parts description listing a rack for cars 11/86 on with SRS. thanks

it says so on your steering wheel. if you have a big 4 spoke steering wheel with a fat center and the SRS logo on the wheel you have an airbag model. anything else, no.
