    Mechanical Gauges VS Electrical

Everyone knows the difference. Electrical use senders to give readouts while mechanicals dont.

My question is this: Which type is the most accurate?

Has anyone had bad experiences with one or the other? Im building a turbo project and Im torn as to which one is best.

Both? Neither? It depend on the maker, and the installer. Most sensors require a good ground for electrical gauges - that's where most people go wrong.

As far as mechanical gauges, you really are only referring to pressure. There are some sort of fail-safe coupler you can add that is suppose to keep hot oil from giving you third degree burns and stuff - but why bother will all that tubing? Sounds like a PITA to me.

Im basically dealing with boost and oil pressure for now. I have some mechanicals laying around I just dont want to waste my time installing something that is going to take a shit or give me false info.

As for brand there cheapo sunpro gauges...
