I was removing the tar out of my trunk this morning and came across three things. One is a rather thick wire with a large connector. The next is a small wire that appears to be speaker wire. It has a fuse connector on the end. The other is an electrical box ahead of the antenna. Is it the amp? Could the others be for a phone or cd changer?

Does your car have premium sound? If so, look for "Blaupunkt" somewhere on the box. I *think* that's the brand.

It was indeed the amp. Next questions is whether or not there is anything in the wiring loom to the amp that cannot be removed. I have started to take it all out, but I wanted to check to see if I am going to disconnect anything I need. There were a couple of gray and brown wires that cut across under the driver’s seat. Where do these go?
Another question. I have removed the cruise control stalk and the parts in the engine bay. The computer is above the glove box correct? What should I look for?
Last question. The tar below the back seat. Any reason not to remove?
