    ignition problem

So I installed another used engine in the car. When i went to turn the key on, the engine did not turn over at all. But when I jumped from the starter, the engine ran. It has to be problem in between the started and the ignition switch. Should it be a problem with the started solenoid or ignition/starter relay? This situation is throwing me for a loop. What number is relay in the fuse box?

just make sure all the grounds are good. My battery ground was at fault for my problem. it would run everything in the car fine but it would not turn the starter.

+1 on the possibility of a missing engine to body ground strap.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
