    Problem: Steering wheel stuck on.

First I removed my old air bag wheel. Realized I was going to need washers for the nut to tighten the wheel down.

When I put the washers on I put them in front of the wheel instead of the back side. Everything seemed fine until I try and drive away. My wheel will not turn more than 90º both ways and hits a lock.

Naturally I backed up and turn off the car to take off the wheel to see what was the matter. But It wouldn't let me. It felt like the lock that was preventing it from spinning more then 90º was also holding it on.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a reverse pattern to unlock it or somthing.

    Thanks in advance guys.

do you have your key in the ignition and turned to the unlocked/accessory position?

Yea it's wierd. I can feel the regular wheel lock unlock like normal. But it feels like there is a second seperate lock engaged or somthing.

Is there anything like that in our cars? Like a security lock or somthing?

There is no secondary lock. If you have the key on then it should be free to go.
