    My clutch hydraulics arent working!!!

    So heres the deal:

My engine is finally running and the only thing between me and a test drive is the stupid clutch. I just did all of the brakes, the bleeding went fine there. When I got to the clutch the frustration started. I'm using a pressure bleeder which is awesome- it gets the fluid right through the slave cyl right away. Just when I think the job is too easy I disconnect the pressure bleeder and I lose my clutch pedal.

Is there something that I need to do to lock in the pressure between the master & slave cylinders?

What could be the issue here?

    Thanks-
    Addis

I'm not sure exactly how a pressure bleeder works, but did you close your bleeder valve before removing the pressure bleeder?
If you are bleeding it properly, you might have a bad clutch master cylinder and/or slave cylinder. Do you see brake fluid leaking anywhere?

Pump the pedal a few times and see if it builds up pressure - its easy to get some air trapped in there since the bleeder screw is at the bottom of the slave cylinder and not the top.

How does the pedal of the clutch feel? If the pedal feels relatively stiff your clutch might just be stuck to the flywheel.

When the pressure bleeder is attached i can pump pressure into the pedal after a few pumps. It keeps the pressure as long as the bleeder is attached, once i remove it, pressure in the pedal is lost.

Dude I used the same process but you can't only use the pressure bleeder.

After you have got fluid drawn into your slave, then you can bleed it like you bleed your brakes. Pump 3 times and hold. Open and close valve on the slave. Repeat.

Do that until your slave is fully bled.
