Remember to advance the ign. also as that is the source of the power on a factory spec motor

The dealer helped me tuned it earlier this evening, the car pulls better... the top end has been advanced to 10.. what's the max to advance?

btw, it's the AFR at 14 the ideal ratio? was told that it's lean... However, that would depend when's the last time the wide band O2 sensor was replaced at that workshop.

most people tune to a low 13:1 when looking for power.

I don't know if the same applies to the M42 motors, but I know the S50s like to run a little lean in the midrange and richer up top... just what I've learned from tuning the McHenry's cars. Granted they're a little different than your average 3.0/3.2 lump.

I think 14:1 usually works well with N/A cars, and I know a lot of people like 13:1ish as well. Im used to 12:1 but thats a general guideline for blown cars. I dbe interested to see the after A/F chart.

Remap the fuel and ignition mapping today... and added in the toggle switch to switch between Map A and Map B on the fly.... ;)

                    Map A is moderate...
                    Map B is more extreme....
however, would expect fuel gauge drop faster depending how heavy is the right foot.... :(

still doing some trial and error mapping on my own... engine seems to pull better when it's leaner at the top from 4600rpm onwards...

so more fuel doesn't mean more power....

put in more fuel at the low RPM for more torque... initially, i dialled in a little to much fuel engine seem to choke on fuel.... :) but I lean it a bit and it seem fine now...

Ideally it shud be done on dyno, but it doesn't come cheap and dyno doesn't reflect part throttle gains, only WOT gains... anyway, will definitely go for another dyno to see how the 2 mappings perform....
