What kind of ATF for A/T

What kind or brand of ATF is recommended for automatic transmission of an 86 325e (I think I have the cable type - the one with no sports or eco mode switch)

i liked castrol high-mileage stuff

fixed a hard shifting issue the P.O. could never fix, also has some nice anti-leak additives.

how about redline or omega oil?

it's dexron/mercon III or equivalent

Ive put redline in my autotragic, and it seems to make it leak like a friggin sieve. Think Ill try nando's suggestion next time.
