how do i get this damn thing off?

So I just picked up a 325is and did a full interior swap from my es and the PO had put a momo shift knob on and I cant seem to get the thing off I tried putting it into 2nd and pulling it off with no luck any one know how take them off?

Does it have the three little allen nuts that hold it on?

are you pulling UP? i had a hell of a time getting my knob off. yank on it. you can also try using a hammer and a piece of wood to hit under it. that might work.

It's hard to see from the small pictures, but there should be a threaded collar/cap/cover thing at the bottom of the knob that covers up the three little allen set screws. Unscrew the cover from the bottom of the knob, and loosen up the three screws and remove the knob.

I've had 2 momo's that also attached this way, never seen an aftermarket knob from a major non bmw niche company that attached the regular bmw way.
