    Broken Door Lock

So I have a broken driver side door lock... I think.

The door lock won't lock or unlock the door. However, the driver side door does lock and unlock when I use the passenger door or the trunk. That means that the central locking device works and the lock problem is probably isolated to the driver side door.

Does that mean one of the cylinder's is jammed or something? The key does move left and right inside the lock.

Should I spray it down inside with a lot of WD40?

    Thanks

Mine does the same on my drivers door. When I turn the key all the way right to lock it just rolls over, kinda feels stripped.
Anyone got an answer for this? About to rip my door panel off to inspect the problem.

My best is on a broken lock. Once the door panel is off it should be fairly obvious.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Just noticed my passenger door does not operate the drivers door anymore also.
        Any idea why?
Pulling the door panel off tomorrow to check drivers side.

sounds like what happened to my car some time back. I found there was a piece broken off the lock cylinder which connected to the latch mech. Find an old drivers door lock and transfer that piece over to yours. It should get it working. will require removing the inner panel and pulling the retaining/heater clip off to remove the lock.
