    Highbeams

I have a problem with my 318 . I am currently taking out all of the bad parts in the car . I have a problem where my regular lights wont work but my highbeams will. I then turned the highbeam insert into the regular so i have regular lights. so i have no highbeams. What can i do to fix???

Did the low beams come on with the high beams? If they did (and I would guess they did) and the low beams alone didn't work I'd say it's the low beam relay.

sounds like the bulbs are out to me. sealed beams have dual fillaments on the low beam for high/low. the lows can burn out leaving you with only highs.

and did you say you were using high beams as low beams? hope you don't blind an oncoming car and get killed..

While that could be true I was assuming a single point of failure. It's less likely, although possible, that both lights are bad at the same time. I also figured he was running the current low beams on the high beam socket so (hopefully) the low beam filament was being used.

could be the fuses, theres low beam and high beam fuses, so cheack those, also could be the switch in the cab, or the relay.
