In a 1984 318i, what is this wire for, and where does it come from?




I know it should be plugged into to this one:




On mine, I do not have it and I would like to rerun a wire from its source (if needed). Where does it come from, and what does it do?

If I am missing it, I will still read a speed and my odometer should still work. Correct?

it's an output for the cruise control. if you don't have cruise control, you don't need it. It doesn't affect the cluster in any way.
