my heat will burn me out of the car, and that's with the puny 4 cylinder. e30's don't have a cabin filter, so any debris from outside that i small enough can come in through the vents. If it is a leaf or something, I guess it could clog things, but then you wouldn't have much airflow at all...

Honestly I think the problem is that your engine isn't getting warm enough. The air out of the dash vents has to travel much farther than the air out of the floor vents, which could explain the temp difference. My air is only lukewarm as well when it is only at 1/4 on the temp gauge...but with everything that you installed, I'm not sure I have an answer. Maybe the t-stat you installed is of the wrong temperature, combined with the cold weather I'm sure Toronto is having right now? That would contribute.

thank you...you just confirmed my suspicion... even though it is a 71 degree I think it is too cold and the motor just isn't pushing enough heat. I am going to order an oem thermostat 80 degree which should work. if that doesn't I'm going to throw myself through my window..lol
