    Speedo?

Well for a while my tach has been jumpy as hell, but I could still read it fine. But today im driving to a friends house and the speedo just stops. Sits there at 0 MPh. The tach still works but now I have no idea how fast im going.
Also the MPG guage has been out for a long time.
What are my options, or is there a sensor that can be replaced ect ect. Snow buildup?

    I bombed Korea every night.

Typical gauge flakiness. Take your cluster out, and check all the connections and everything for corrosion and that everything is tightened down. Also, take the speedo out and clean all the contacts carfeully and make sure everything is connected properly, and you should have no more problems. Do the same with the MPG gauge.

first check fuses, the speedo has a different fuse. If it looks good, check the plug on the diff. Then you can go tearing into the cluster
then for the tach/mpg gauge, check the horizontal board in the instrument cluster for damage, or broken contacts. chances are screws were put in the wrong place and it broke part of the board that controls those. the first wire on the board is mpg, second is tach, dunno what's after that

Could be your SI batteries also. They can cause all kinds of funky stuff when they are going bad.

The first and easiest thing you can check is your speedo sensor on the diff. All you gotta do is look and see if the wires are broken/frayed; this is the cause of broken speedo's most of the time. After that, check your fuses, and as a last resort, pull the gauge cluster and check for bad grounds, wiring, and SI batteries.
