Need help stop a coolant leak, temporally

So, right before i stored my '87 eta for the winter, my water pump went out, and i had replace it... meaning i had to pull the radiator... blah blah blah, you know the drill.

Well, i was checking on it, and noticed there are 2 slow, but pronounced coolant leaks at both, the in and out pipes for the radiator. As it turns out, i have new hose clamps for both of those, and they are so tight, I'm afraid that if i go any tighter, i'll crack the plastic fittings on the radiator.

So with this said, the only probable fix is to replace the hoses; i get that. But the issue comes when i consider the fact that had i planed on doing a 2.7i conversion, this spring, and replacing the radiator with the late model style, which will need different hoses, any way.
So my question; is there any way i could stop my coolant leak an hold out until spring, or am i really going to have to get new hoses, that wont ever really be used?

*as it sits right now, i have to move the car around, on occasion, so simply draining the coolant isn't super practical

lower the coolant level by a lot then put in some bars stop leak

its suppose to only work on the radiator fins but ive had it work on instances like this. remember you are only bandaging the problem- not fixing it :) but it seems like you are aware of that

get new hoses. bars leak or any "stop leak" sucks and will clog passages and your heater core and cause you problems. If it was a pile and you were trying to get through the winter I may agree with the guy above me but hoses are super cheap.

I agree that it sucks and it may do more harm than good, but I was under the impression that he was going to swap everything out. What I failed to think about was the heatercore. good point blunt

its a type of liquid that will bond to the surface once it goes airborne.

no problem/ I can probably send him hoses for not much more than the cost of the bars leak and the trip to go get it

So is it something i put in my cooling system, or is it something i would apply to the hoses, and tubes, them selves? i looked it up but am still a little unclear.

Try doubling up the hose clamps if you are too cheap to buy new hoses.
