    Leaky waterpump temp fix?

My water pump is leaking(99% sure from the gasket) pretty fast. I have a new pump and timing belt and all the jazz to do that big job but it got cold fast here and I have nothing but a driveway to work in. So im wondering if there are any products recommended to temp seal the water pump gasket area.

A friend recommended gasket maker, but I dont know much about it.

    steer me r3v

also, anyone in the mid-atlantic area that would want to help me and has a cold-friendly area to do the timing belt water pump (and replace cooling system) let me know =p

While the leak could be from the gasket, I'll bet on the leak being the shaft seal. The only fix for that is to replace the pump.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

If the leak is indeed from the gasket, go to your local parts store and get some RTV. The Blue or Black colored ones should work fine for what you need.

It is just gonna make a mess you will have to clean up later...find a way to get some heated space.

it's unlikely to be the gasket. replace the pump..
