    Battery in trunk.

When i first got my car i thought that the battery was in the trunk because there is a (non-working) alarm in it. But I just noticed that alot of you have the battery in the trunk and the cover for the batery also says bmw. Was this an option or something?

Most e30s had a trunk battery, except for the cabrio.

there are other models with the battery in the front as well, such as the early 318i, and perhaps some early euro models.

All 6 cyl cars (Except cabrio) and M3s have it in the trunk.

Thanks for clearing that up, I though the previous owners moved it there because they installed a non working alarm, which i an tearing out tomorow because its bugging me.
