Idle control valve...any major difference between T-shape and L-shape?

    Idle control valve...any major difference between T-shape and L-shape?

    I'm upgrading my 325e motronic to 1.3 also the intake,TB,AFM, injectors and so on ( I have an i cam in the head) and wondered if there were any concerns I should know of between the two ICV's or does it even matter.

    You need the Tee shaped ICV.

    I'm not sure how much you'll gain from the what you are doing since it sounds like you used the ETA head. It's passages are smaller and thus a major restriction to flow. And if you are going to run above 5400rpm you really need the M20B25 valve springs. It would be best to swap in a complete M20B25 head.

        Thanks for the replies fellas...Jim the head is from a euro 320 (same eta casting) with the dual valve springs and i cam already in there which I've got on the car now, just getting ready to swap out the other components and wondered if that icv was going to matter.
