    Original Engine

i have an 86 325. I know everyone changes the engine to the m50, but i want to keep the original engine in my car. it's still running strong and i like the fact that it will still hold some "stockness" my question now is other than a chip what other upgrades will result in the best performance (more hp) i do not want to turbo. It currently is an auto but a manual tranny will be put in soon. any suggestions will be great.

if you want to keep the M20 in the car, the only way to get real power is a stroker. you'll need to change things like the head and intake to parts from an i motor, but it looks very similar to an e. otherwise, get a JC chip and an LSD (if you don't already have one) and call it a day.
