I have been trying to install a moonroof in my car for the past couple of days. I can not get it to cycle properly. If I get it to open, then it wont close, it gets close to the front then starts clicking, and it seems as if the motor does not have the strengh to keep up. Anyone have an idea or advice on how to fix it?

Check the cables and lube everything. I had lots of problems with my roof getting stuck and a good cleaning / lube took care of most of it. If the panel is misaligned that will cause issues too.- Josh

Check with the bulletin given out when these roofs were available from the dealership. due to manufacturing tolerances some roof openings are slightly smaller and require the smaller sized glass roof. I also had the same problem with mine after installing a new seal; I couldn't for the life of me to get it cycle. there is nothing wrong with the cables or alignment; my motor works fine with the steel roof. I suspect either the new seal is the larger of the two available or the roof is a tad to large for the opening I have. I am yet to figure this out as the motor was so strong trying to draw the roof in that it pulled the mounting bracket from the glass and now I have to get it remounted.
It wouldn't hurt to get everything lubed but use graphite and nothing else. This is what is recommended for the cables and tracks.sigpic
