7mm? That's an odd thickness for a spacer....can't say I know if some vendor who would carry that. What about getting an 8mm H&R Trak+ spacer and shaving it a bit? Removing 1mm of material isn't too drastic. Just a thought.

no hubcentric for any spacer under 10mm, just so you know. Normal spacers for the e30 are 5mm, 8mm, 15mm, 20mm, and 25mm. However, IE sells 1/8inch, 1/4inch, 3/8inch, and 1/2inch spacers for the e30. In case you're too lazy to convert it yourself, thats 3.175mm, 6.35mm, 9.5249mm, and 12.7mm.

Chris is cool. I was too lazy to convert on my own. :P

          So my ET30 wheels - 6.35 = ET23.65.
Would this be the pretty much ideal offset for a 15x7 wheel, which is planning to run 225/50-15?

I know basketweaves are ET24, and 225s are run on those without issue. I know I can get 5mm spacers, or 8mm spacers. But ET22 might, almost definately, would force rubbing, and some fender work would be neccessary.......

I'm an admitted noob, but would 8mm spacers with hubcentric rings work? Would there be any benefit?

dave varco makes 3 mm spacers for 2002's. i'm thinking of borrowing my friends set to see if they make a big enough differences on the 225/50R15 / Kosei K1 setup i'm installing.

Nah, you'd likely get wobbles, depending on wheel hub design.
