    Which fluid should I use?

Here is the sticker on my Getrag 260 deep-bellhousing. What should I use? I have some Royal Purple Max ATF here and I am about to do the deed..

IMO, just put redline MTL in it. screw using ATF in a manual trans - especially as they get old, it will shift better with redline.

I thought ATF was better for old transmission.. I guess I was wrong.

Redline. Put it in my car, doesn't seem to improve much or quiet anything like everyone says but the transmission hasn't blown up yet so it must be doing it's job. I did the differential at the same time Redline in there too.

Green sticker means OE fill was synthetic gear lube.

So now, filling it with redline MTL is ok?

Yup, you don't have to use synthetic either. It was for a warranty thing. Redline MTL is a good choice.

Autozone doesnt stock Redline, most brick & mortar stores dont at all, youll have to order it online

                      Redline

Do the redline!! I'm new to this 10-30 deg AM weather and was having a very tough/hard shifting on the first morning drive away. Redline MTL fixed that shifting problem in my 91' Ix. Joe

Yes definitely use the redline. I use it in my 2010 Yamaha, my tranny in the 85, I also use it in the engine and trans in my 72 Ford 1T. That stuff is fantastic.

I have this exact same sticker. I am in a pinch and will have to go to autozone or kragen/oriellys. Can anybody point me in the direction of what to get? It seems like neither of these stores carry any 75w-90 GL-4. They only carry 75w-90 GL-5. I've seen some use the Castrol ATF+4 transmax fluid. I am thinking about using that, will that be okay?

Using gl-5 for the rear diff thought since I have the 2.93 lsd

I use Redline MT-90 in my gear box - same green sticker. Ran the first batch for almost 2 years, no problems or leaks. Just changed it this month.

I use the 75w90 GL-5 NS in the diff. Would have changed it this month too, but I did the seals in the summer, and did it then. Old fluid looked excellent.
