my oil service light wont go away. i have used the wire trick to the correct pins and that has worked for a few times but this time it will not work. What coudl i do to make these devil lights go away. thanks
The one on your dash or the one on the overhead idiot lights. The oil light in my car on the overhead one wont go off even though everything is ok. Any ideas on what could cause this?

Same as my car. The oil level sensor is bad. I need to replace it.

One possibility is the SI board batteries are going. Might need to replace them.

PS - the oil light on the dash itself may come on if your oil sensor went bad - happened to me in my Euro - revved and it went away. People told me it was a slew of things, someone mentioned the $6 oil sensor, sure enough, it cured the issue. Go buy one new, and throw it in next time you're under there doing an oil change.
Have you tried to reset it? If you reset and it come right back on then the SI board batteries are bad but it my just need to be reset.
