Electronic bug - No blower, no tach

New electronic bug. 88 325is chassis, 91 318is drivetrain/engine harness

On start up the blower motor, tach, fuel and temp gauges work for about 3 seconds then shut off.

Ive checked both unloader relays, k5 and k7. If i hold k7 closed then the blower works, but thats no solution.

This happened all of the sudden, the car was fine the day before but when i went out the blower/cluster quit working. No signs at all, ive had this car in this configuration over 5+ years.

Speedo still works, interior lights work, radio works.

does everything work if you hold K7 closed or just the blower?

just the blower with k7.

i did a quick google search 'e30 blower motor tach temp fuel' and found a bimmer forum thread... fuse 10 fixed it!

Does it blow when putting the car into reverse? I had that same problem, turned out to be the wires that run through shift boot (the rubber boot) were frayed and shorted.

Maybe, ill have to look.

I dont use the ebrake so its in reverse when parked
