    Central locking and lock cylinders...

I bought a project car. Its missing the driverside door lock cylinder, and the trunk lock cylinder doesnt unlock with the ignition key. The car does have central locking because when I lock the car from the inside or by manually pushing down the lever inside the door to lock/unlock the driverside door, the rest of the cars locks lock/unlock accordingly.

My question is: Can I buy a used doorlock cylinder and trunk lock cylinder from another car that has central locking and have the locks rekeyed to be used with the ignition key I already have for the car?

yes you can. also you can check ebay or someone from here for a whole set. or just go to pick and pull, it's fairly easy to uninstall and install.

sometimes on ebay they may have the ignition cylinder, 2 front door locks, trunk and the glove box. just scour through ebay or craigslist.

i can sell you mine if you want, i am taking my ignition out, the 2 doors locks, trunk and glove box. but the ignition key is different but all the other locks work with the second key. My car was stolen and recovered so the ignition was replaced. Let me know if you are interested.

My ignition cylinder and ignition key are fine. I'll buy the second key and door locks/trunk lock from you though. Price? So just double checking they will work with my central locking?

they should work, central locking has to door more with the door lock actuators then the cylinders.

Thats what I figured but just thought I would double check, because when I've checked the parts for buying the lock cylinder brand new, it wanted me to specificy if the car had central locking or not.
