From what I understand people install an adjustable fuel pressure regulator at the same time as the injectors and then reduce the fuel pressure to keep the car from running too rich. You still want it to be a little rich and let the ECU correct for it. Over the course of several days you continue to "bump" the pressure back up until you're back to stock pressure and the ECU has adapted to the increased fuel flow and has the air-fuel-ratio back to "normal"... -
I would think you could just disconnect the battery overnight and then the ecu would be reset so it would start fresh with the new injectorsComment

It would revert to a baseline map which would still make it run way too rich being the new injectors flow nearly 50% more fuel at the same pressure as the old ones. You can try it but your car will run like shite and probably wash the oil off your cylinder walls with all the excess fuel...Originally posted by nickmp0werI would think you could just disconnect the battery overnight and then the ecu would be reset so it would start fresh with the new injectorsComment

doesn't need to be overnight.. a few minutes is enough.Originally posted by nickmp0werI would think you could just disconnect the battery overnight and then the ecu would be reset so it would start fresh with the new injectors
once you have them in, go drive the car hard, taking it up to redline a couple times. this will help the ECU reduce the duty cycle and map out the new injectors. no need for an AFPR either.Comment

100 miles or so i think, although most of the learining is probably in the first 100 feet
i know i asked before but i forgot what you said, are the m50 ones the right ones to use?Comment
