What's the difference between MarkD's chip and Jim Conforti? And is MarkD situated in the US or Canada?

Oh, and the 380 ECU install is a breeze. There is only one board and all you have to do is pull the cover to get at it. It took me maybe a half hour to change it out. The other difference is there are four small screws in the top of the cover to take off. Easy install, and I am sure probably the best performance/cost ratio mod.

I am currently running 92 octane and it seems to be working well. I had arranged for some 100 octane fuel to mix up the 92 to 93, but I don't think I am going to need it. I am going to test it out the next couple days and see what happens.

Another very satisfied MarkD chip owner. Way to go Mark :!:
wow... it took me like 5 min.

i got the 91 chip, just because some places don't have 93 when i go on road trips.

Can someone recommend where to go to find a 4.10 LSD for my '88 325is, and how much I should pay?

Also, if and when I install it, is there a market for my low mileage (125,000) 3.73 LSD?

I contacted Mark about the e30 chips to get the word on using the 173 chip in a 380. Here is what he said:

    Thanks

Great guy, busy as always. I think I am going to go ahead and use the 173 chip for now and maybe get the 380 down the road. It would be nice to think that I wouldn't NEED the diagnostic codes! ;)

BTW, i origionally thought that we only had 91 octane here in houston, but we do infact have 93 as said by others.
yah i found this out too... half the gas stations around me have 91, the other have 93

Heh, did you really think the entire country (which of course remember is larger than the USA) has the same octane ratings coast to coast?

We get 94 here, and my car sees no less (MarkD's 93+ chip was developed in my car).
