    valve adjustment?

Ok, I know this subject has been beat to death and for most everyone its a pretty easy job. My question is this...I read the pelican parts diy and the thread sticked here and the bentley, what I dont understand is are you adjusting things with the 3mm allen wrench because when I put it in there I dont feel like anything is turning and some sources say to just stick something(small screwdriver or piece of hanger) in there to hold(something?) but i dont feel like it is. I guess I dont get it....sorry for the noob question in advance.

when i do it, i put a 22mm socket on a ratchet and that on the lower crank. i turn as my dad watches the cam.

In the future you can unscrew the top of the diagnostic connector and jump the starter pin to ground with a piece of decent wire to bump start the cam into position without ever having to move.

I learned how to do it this same exact way. SUCH a pain in the ass, lol.
