    Bought that Keyless Entry thing

Help!!!!!!! I am so PISSED! I wired it up EXACTLY how it was stated in the thread LikeCDoos made. The shit worked for about 5 min. I left for 20, when I came back to try again, it stopped. I dont know what to do. I took the electrical tape off every connection and refitted them, made sure everything was snug and now the only part that works is the unlock. The lock isnt working and I'm out of things to check. Help me!

Yup. Its garbage. Kristins did pretty much the same thing. Everything is hooked up right but it just stopped working.

I guess so... It was 20 bucks, but damn 5 MINUTES!?

I'm going to take it off completely and find someone who knows electric work and see what they can do with it... I'm going to make this bitch work.

The range sucks on mine, but it works and has been working for about 6 months.

peice of shit. so. i buy one, wire it, works perfectly for 6 months. craps out. fine... i already lost one remote, time to buy another unit. i get a new unit, plug it in, works awesome for one day. then stops working, i reprogram the remotes. and then it works if the trunk is open and remote is up to the unit, otherwise not at all, so now its just crapped out. these are pieces of shit.

                Relays

Nothing is as easy as someone says. I did the same thing using the internal relays of the keyless entry device. That burned up a resistor real quick, the lock side I think. Went to Radio Shack and bought a few 12V relays and it works fine now, but had to replace the resistor. I hooked up all parking lights, dome light delay, and central locking.

Try a new battery in the remote?

Installed mine around Christmas and has worked fine since.

Neither remotes work. They only work for unlocking the car. The locking isnt working.

Take it apart and check the wiring inside the remote. Maybe it needs to be re-soldered. ??
