    oil pan question

    Whats up! i have a boosted e30 and the oil pan its leaking, is there any good silicone i can use to seal it, or just replace oil pan gasket AGAIN?
    any suggestions would help!. Thanks in advance

    Get a good gasket, ptex it up, and torque it down correctly.

        i have a spare oil pan a a new gasket already. Thanks tho bro ^^

        waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles30: any good silicone u would recommend? i dont want to use the cheap auto parts one, bad experience with it already

          Use a paper gasket, not cork. Do not use silicone!!

            Id say you should figure out why your gasket keeps leaking. You're not pressurizing your valve cover and oil pan, I hope?

              MR325: i used the cork gasket, where can i get the paper one?.. and i was thinking about silicone cause a guy tolde me that i could use some toyota silicone that its good, but not sure about it. Thanks!

                Permatex Aviation Form-a-Gasket plus good quality paper gasket... thats what I did no problems yet.

                  Permatex grey silicon will work perfect, and cheapp. stuff is dynamite.

                    Not supposed to use gasket and permatex. Recently sat thru a permatex presentation and they specificly said not to.

                        They said that it could potentially not bond with some types of gasket material..so they recomended to use one or the other..not both. lol

                            Permatex's grey silicon is good stuff. prob the same or better.
