I have been having this problem for the past day or two. When I start the car there seems to be this slight howling noise that is only audible as a slight whisper. After I noticed this new noise I started noticing, when I have the clutch pedal fully depressed,a buzzing noise with some some feedback vibration coming from the pedal itself. Whats going on guys? Thanks in advance.

What a bmw tech told me is that you shouldn't sit on the clutch when stopped at a light. the release bearing take too much load and wears it out causing it to get hard or vibrate.
He told me if you want the life of the bearing to last let off the clutch except when you are ready to shift.sigpic

Fix it fast or you'll get stranded my TB seized and ground a hole in my pressure plate and left me stranded. It only took a few hours in traffic.Last edited by 416stroker; 03-25-2011, 09:06 PM.84 318I Delphin RIP

My throwout bearing made a grinding noise for almost 2 months before it finally gave out. After having a full clutch job done, I also had to get my flywheel resurfaced, because somehow the TB had caused another part of my clutch to malfunction, causing my flywheel to have gouges, cuts, and burrs all over it's surface =/ It was a nice $850 bill...Just tryin' to feed the e30 need.
