Are we able to UPGRADE or Starter and Alternator??

Just wondering if we are able to swap E30 and E36 Alt and Starters? Just wondering if they crank better or have more amps. Has anyone attempted this? Thank you for all of your help. Jai

I can understand wanting a bigger alt, but why a starter? unless you live in antartica the stock starter is more than enough to turn over our motors.

        ok

Ok so that's a negative on the starter, but what about the alternator.
and WHY you say? More power to stop the dimming of the lights whenever another button is pushed or maybe it's only my car.

You can get higher AMP alternators but not from the m50 as it has a completely different belt pulley system (serpentine).

The only lights that dim in my car are the window switch lights if I'm using two of them at once.

maybe your alt is just worn out.
