    Wipers don't work

searched and mentioned it to the parts guy at work. I don't think it's a transmission problem as I don't hear shit. the fuses look good.

what else could be the cause of this problem?

        Hahaha just checking.

Most likely the motor for the wipers are dead. Its a PITA to change, I heard.

If the wipers go on and then cut out its the switch on the steering colum.

I think thats what it is.

        Hope this helps alittle.

I see problems with the relay more often than the swtich. The large black relay all the way to the passenger's side of the fuse box controls all wiper functions. Check there first.

            anyway to check the relay?

at least on the fuel pump relay, there was no way to tell if it was bad except motronic telling me so......

There's a guy named Todd here in Cincy who has a wiper motor assembly on eBay right now. I have bought a few things from him - he is trustworthy.

I'll go to the dealership today and hopefully pick up a relay just in case and try it out.

and maybe check out that ebay.

                      relay fine
                      no sound of motor

well i would think you could just take out the relay and use a wire to connect the + and - things, not the ones that drive the switch inside the relay, but the ones that the real power flows through. maybe have a fuse on that wire just incase

My wipers go on and then cut out only on the first and slowest setting like you describe. Do you have experience with it being the stalk on the colum or is it more comonly the relay?
