96 car - likelyhood of snapping an exhaust stud at the head?

Im planning on replacing the cat assembly this month. How likely will I snap an exhaust manifold stud?
Ma che cazzo state dicendo? :|

    snap? not likely.

you might back the whole stud out though.

make sure you use a 1/4" drive for the first few cylinders. its a tight fit in there and a 1/4" drive makes things a lot easier.

Ok. From what I hear you will snap the manifold to cat studs so I will end up removing the exhaust manifold anyways to drill and replace.

I just removed the manifold on my 92 325i. Most of the studs came out with the nut. I wanted to replace these anyways so no biggie. But yeah, more chance of a risk of snapping the studs from the manifold to the cat.

Also I would recommend a thread chaser just to clean out the threads. I wasnt able to get a good answer on which tool to use to tighten studs on the head/manifold. But clean threads def help with finger tightening at least.
