Bryson and I are wondering if both are the same, so that the M52 one (more flow) will bolt right up to my exhaust that was fitted to the M50 manifold.

OBDII have nice SS tubular manifolds. Basicly shorty headers.

But are M52 manifold dimensions the same as M50 ones...I need to know if my exhaust thats fitted to the M50 will fit perfectly when I put the M52 in place (with M52 manifolds) without having to adjust/customize my exhaust.Originally posted by Jordan

AFAIK the dimensions are the same. There's several E36s around here and a couple M50 swapped cars running around here with them on.Originally posted by permit

I never added to this, but OBD-II and OBD-I manifolds are not completely identical. One of the downpipes on OBD-II ones (forget if it's the front or rear manifold) nearly kisses the subframe. With OBD-I, there is much more room for an exhaust shop to work with.Comment
