    Locking system gone crazy !!

When I start the car, I here all the lock actuator clicking, this doesn't stop even when am driving.. they keep clicking like they are trying to lock and unlock.. It only stop when I press down the lock. Earlier today I parked my car in the garage but didn't lock it, when I came back I could hear the all lock actuators clicking which worried me about battery drain, but when I leave the car locked this doesn't happen.. WTF is going on? n the funny bit i s that some things with electrical connection that I touch( brakes, signal ) causes that actuators to click.

On a side note when I start the car sometimes the solenoid is left whining for short while, could this have anything to do with it n what can I do about the solenoid?

    Any ideas ..?

I read that but it seems that's e36 mechanism which is different from e30.

You are aware that the stock E30 locks do not lock the doors when you start the car, right? If yours is, it is an aftermarket system that is triggering that, and that aftermarket system might be causing the whole issue.

Nope! this is stock central locking system.. but guess wat, I drove the car and the clicking lock actuator sound didn't seem as persistent as previous but went ahead n pressed the driver door locking lever as usual so that the clicking would stop, got home n parked it in the garage, I came back later coz I was gonna meet some friends n when I went to the garage I didn't hear the lock actuators clicking as before, got inside n started the car n heard multiple clicking sound at the left foot panel but I drove off coz all I had to do was lock my door, when I gat to my destination, I came out n tried to lock the car but the central locking was not working when I turned the key, I have feeling that that's the central locking mechanism unit that's kaput, I"ll try n get another 2morow @ the j/yard n I 'll update the progress..

there is nothing in the entire factory system that can do this.

There is no connection to the ignition switch anywhere.

ok. then download the ETM (electronic troubleshooting manual) for your car and start looking at all the wires for your central locking and see if they match up.

if its stock, you possibly have a wire that is exposed and a fire hazard. if its not stock.. well lol.

found out that the central locking computer at the left door panel behind the speaker was toast, when I remove the panel the relay was very warm, changed that but it didn't solve anything, then changed the computer and as soon as I plugged it in all the locks clicked, when I tried to lock the car from outside, I heard a high pitched buzzing from the trunk actuator, and on changing it the whole system is working like it's supposed to.
